Had we ever imagined that intimate weddings would be such a big hit in India? Or had we imagined that the grandeur of weddings can go unaffected even if the guestlist for the day is kept short or limited? 2020 has been that year when the world has steered through a lot of unknown tides and experience a new dimension to everything.
Not only have intimate weddings risen up as a raging trend, but they have also been celebrated in full swing in different parts of the country at different locations. The shift from big fat Indian weddings to intimate weddings has been huge and while the couples and families have been a sport in accepting the "new normal", the experts in the industry have been more than supportive in helping everyone steer through these times.
This post-Covid wedding of Neer and Misaal is another heartwarming story of how beautiful an intimate and close-knit wedding ceremony can be.
How They Met & Their Story
Neer and Misaal met through a common friend and they are both based out of Ahmedabad. Speaking about her dream wedding to WeddingWire India, Neer says, "I always wanted to walk down the aisle in the most fairytale way while the sun sets and we are surrounded by our families." And later when she recalls her most favourite moment from the wedding, out of many she says, "My favourite memory of our wedding is the time when I walked down the aisle."
Each of their wedding ceremonies was a beautiful story that will be remembered forever. Scroll on to know the deets of each of the ceremonies of this beautiful and small backyard wedding of Neer Jain and Misaal Parikh.
The Surprise Sundowner Bridal Shower
It all started with a fun-filled surprise bridal shower in pastel. Right from the welcome sign that read "Kisses for the future Mrs" to the pastel pink cupcakes and pink doughnuts, the sundowner bridal shower was a hit. Did we forget to mention the amazing smoke-bomb photography that sealed the deal end of the day with the happy faces captured in beautiful frames forever?
The Engagement Brunch in Blue
This was followed by an amazing brunch to celebrate their engagement ceremony. Dressed in a midnight blue lehenga, Neer danced her shoes off with Misaal and the happy pictures of the couple say it all.
The Fun & Floral Haldi
The Haldi ceremony was also celebrated in full fervour and the flower shower just stole our hearts! Dressed in a quintessential yellow outfit, Neer looked alluring and the candid photography is worth treasuring.
The Pink Mehndi
The Pastel Roka
The engagement ceremony was a beautiful pastel affair. From the bride's peach lehenga with belted detailing and the groom's pastel-coloured shirt to the subtle decor of the venue that turned it into a cosy intimate Roka ceremony for Neer and Misaal - it was breathtaking and we loved it. While huge 3D installations are a task without a doubt, decking up a personal space with intricate details and customised touches makes it finer than ever.
The Breathtaking Pastel Pink Wedding
The bride's backyard was not only a venue that held personal significance but also made for a beautiful space where Neer and Misaal could tie the knot in an unforgettable and elegant intimate ceremony with their dear ones to bless this union. The bride and groom complimented each other in charming pastel outfits.
The bride walked into the venue in a dreamy sequence created by the smoke along her way. Right from the pastel pink roses on the table vases to the pink arches that covered the way and even their pink rose Jaimalas - it was indeed an unforgettably romantic story to treasure forever.
