1. Research helps

You want to start hunting around for the basics quickly. Look for reliable wedding vendors, venues, services, and more at the earliest. Look up options on Weddingwire.in and use the chat feature for help while browsing through different vendors and categories, talk to people who may have good recommendations to offer, consider hiring a wedding coordinator to make the process easier and quicker. Do not continue hunting around and confusing yourself once you zero down a particular option and finish your bookings. Also, asking friends and family to pitch in is a great way to take some of the load off your shoulders and ensure you’re getting solid advice. This is a great way to plan a wedding with the smart foot forward.

2. Eliminate options you don’t need

The great about a shorter timeline is that you get to avoid fretting over things that aren’t very important and focus on the major things instead. Don’t feel pressured to include something on your list just because you saw it somewhere. If you don’t want to, you don’t have to do something. Remove anything unnecessary and focus instead on what matters the most to you. Trust your instinct and work accordingly. You can use an online checklist for this purpose and remove the tasks that don't fit into your idea of how to plan a wedding. This way you can keep a track of the tasks that need your attention the most and the ones that have been already dealt with. Also, you won't miss out on any details.

3. Find a venue

Life In a Day By Som

Many people may warn you that all the good places will be taken. Everything may have been booked in advance and you’ll have to work very hard to find something that works. This is not necessarily true. If you opt for a less conventional day and time, chances are you’ll be able to make things work.  Go for off-season bookings or choose dates that are special to your story when you plan a wedding. There’ll also be plenty of hotels willing to make last-minute reservations and get everything done quickly without any delays. Look for options that work best for you and pick one based on availability, price and more.

4. Invite your loved ones

Use a mix and match policy for this one. Call people up early and do issue informal invitations at the earliest. Once you know the date and the venue, it’s smart to give a heads-up to your guests especially those who’ll be coming from outside the city or country. You can hand over formal invitation cards with all the details too but let everyone know quickly anyway so that they can apply for leaves and make other preparations accordingly. When you plan a wedding, make sure you also prepare an e-invite as well, so that even if people miss your printed invite due to postal issues or any other reason, they still get your invite.

5. Your outfit(s)

This one may be a little tricky but not impossible to manage. Instead of choosing something that has to be meticulously crafted from the beginning, go for ready-made options at boutiques and let them know about your urgent requirement. You can choose something vintage if you’re comfortable and even add a personal touch to your mother’s wedding outfit and wear that if things fall into place. This sweet gesture would surely touch her heart and act a tribute to her on your wedding day. (Do think of an equally sweet gift for your father as well)

Avoid having unrealistic expectations as you will need to compromise on some aspects but don’t let that hinder your fun. Get together with your close ones and enjoy the D-day. Also, the one thing you must not compromise on is getting your marriage registration done. Make arrangements for that even if you are skipping on one or two of the ceremonies. In the states where it is available online, keep up with the notifications of all the upadtes that happen to your aplication.
