Talking of wedding soirée, South Indian superstar Rana Daggubati is all set to tie the knot with his long-time beau and now fiancee, Miheeka Bajaj. Miheeka Bajaj is the founder of a wedding decor & styling company, Dew Drop Design Studio and a passionate musings writer.

The power-couple who got Roka-fied earlier this year, in May, has officially kick-started their pre-wedding festivities and oh boy, are we in love. Wedding festivities of Miheeka and Rana began with an intimate home ceremony where Miheeka painted a pretty picture donning a beautiful mint green and dusty peach Jayanti Reddy lehenga. And of course, a matching face mask too. The subtle choice of colours and understated embroideries is such a clever move for summer weddings. Don’t you agree?

Knowing that it’s raining intimate weddings more than ever, deciding what to wear to look bridal enough is a task, hence, some inspiration, please!

The stunning bride-to-be elevated the look with round statement earrings, a dainty Maang tikka and a multi-layered pink tourmalines necklace laden with ruby stones and glimmering diamonds set in 18k gold by Krsala Jewellery

For the makeup, Miheeka chose to go bare minimum with a subtle yet statement-making look. MUA, Tamanna Rooz worked her magic wand on Miheeka and gave her bold kohl-lined eyes, a pop coloured lip and a clean, aptly highlighted face. Without much hassle, Miheeka left her tresses falling long and loose with light blow-dried curls. Miheeka did look like a living dream, all dolled up for her cosy pre-wedding soiree.

Roka Ceremony

Earlier this year, when the duo got Roka-fied, also in a homely setup, Miheeka outdid her new-bride look with a multi-hued bright silk saree from her personal collection but fashioned it up with a gorgeous Jayanti Reddy dupatta to create a fusion bridal look. Roka ceremonies are perfect occasions to jazz up your mother’s or grandmother’s traditional outfit pieces with modern elements. Such a steal!

The evergreen colour combination of orange and pink never looked prettier. She paired the traditional saree with a piece of rather traditional jewellery by Krsala Jewellery. The antique gold jewellery set which is beautifully crafted with intricate meenakari work using Polki stones belongs to the Royal Family of Bikaner. How fancy is that?

Keep it simple & classy

We’re big endorsers of keeping it simple and classy when it comes to finalising the wedding looks, more so, if you’re having an intimate and relatively small wedding ceremony. Miheeka kept all her looks super simple, with minimal elements and looked effervescent as ever. The trick is to choose outfits that flatter your body and complement your skin tone and you’re all set to slay your wedding festivities like a queen.

Upcycle your festive wardrobe

A budget-bride or not, upcycling your festive wardrobe or your mother’s wardrobe might be the smartest thing to do when planning a cosy home affair. You can have a cost-effective option without much hassle that also has some emotional relevance to it. What’s more to intimate weddings than details like these!

Pick noteworthy jewels

Believe us when we say, jewellery adds an unimaginable difference to a bridal look. Picking the right jewellery according to your personality, kind of ceremony and choice of attire makes all the difference. And remember, noteworthy doesn’t always mean heavy-duty jewellery.

Go easy on the hair & makeup

Miheeka Bajaj’s wedding looks are proof that you don’t always need a full face of heavy makeup or hair full of adornments to make a bridal statement. Minimal makeup that enhances your facial features will do the job just right.
