With several celebrities like Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra getting married recently, the regal look back is in town. And guess what, every Indian bride wants a picture where she looks drop dead gorgeous on her wedding day. It can be one of the standalone Indian bridal poses or one with the groom as well.

The pose can include you sitting in a chair with the groom standing next to you, exuding the vibes of a king and queen! Just make sure that your attire matches the pose. This means your outfit should be royal enough for this pose. Furthermore, this is not a pose for you if you are an uber-cool fun-loving person.

2. The Uber-cool look

Speaking of being cool, this is s one of the Indian bridal poses that is the complete opposite of the regal look. Here, you can be all funky and look as carefree as you want. The best way to achieve this pose is to wear cool aviators or reflectors that automatically make you look funky. Complete the pose by pulling your tongue out cheekily or just make cool signs using your fingers.

3. The Queen and the Dab army

Another one of the cool Indian bridal poses includes the bride posing with her bridesmaids and other girlfriends. In this pose, the bride does not have to do more than posing with an attitude. The rest of the girls do the rest – they dab! You can pose either by dabbling in the same direction or by posing towards the bride in the middle. This will surely go down as one of the standout pictures in your wedding album once everything is done!

4. Let the veil steal the show

Who said a Dupatta is just an accessory in an outfit? It can be used to make a statement while taking pictures. Using the lehenga veil intelligently can help you ape one of the great Indian bridal poses – the shy bride. Now, it is up to you and your wedding photographer how you want to use the veil as the main attraction of the photograph.

It can be the classic pose of covering your face with a net veil and the picture capturing your beauty through the veil. This close-up shot is a classic shot that is still trendy. Another option is to hold it above while the photographer takes the picture from behind. The picture is taken against the light to capture the moment in a silhouette.

Another one of the classic Indian bridal poses is the one where you use the long net veil to cover your body until your waist and take a picture straight on. You need a fully lit environment, preferably with natural light, for this pose to look good. Also, colours like pink would look smashing in the picture.

5. Flaunt the outfit

Irrespective of your personality, it is only natural that you would want to flaunt your outfit when you have spent thousands of rupees on it. You deserve it. The best pose to get the full attire is with you standing in front of the venue all alone. This would look just absolutely stunning. It shows that you are the central attraction of the show.

Another way to nail one of the incredible Indian bridal poses is by posing at a balcony of the palace or the heritage hotel the event is taking place, with the crowd below you. This would be ideal if you are wearing a dark shade of red or maroon because it would create a great contrast with the blue sky. For background with a night sky, the perfect way to capture this pose would be to use a good amount of artificial light on the bride.

6. The mirror pose

Your wedding photographer can help you with this and tell you the specifications according to the camera and light angles. You looking at the mirror with a happy smile would be a great way to strike this pose. You can spice things up by looking admiringly at your own beauty by looking surprised. This theme is generally used for a lot of couple poses as well.

With the biggest moment of your life right on the horizon, you must practise your wedding poses and plan how you want to carry your outfit when the camera points at you!
