Evelyn Sharma Shares Tips for Brides-to-be to Sail Through Isolation

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani Actor, Evelyn Sharma, shares Lifestyle Tips for the Brides-to-be and encourages all to stay positive through this lockdown.

Look at this world from gorgeous Actor and Model Evelyn Sharma's point of view, and the power of influence when you have a large fan base, will look more responsible than glamorous. With her initiative, Seams For Dreams, a registered non profit trust that makes good use of old cloth donations, she exemplifies being a responsible fashion activist.

In a tête-à-tête with WeddingWire India, the actor shares how this time away from the world can be a period of metamorphosis for many. Enlisted below, are her top tips to stay positive, utilise our free time in the best possible way, and how to make nature-care a huge part of our day to day lives.

1. Plan Your Day Well

Evelyn Sharma: Social distancing is for our own good but it may get boring at times. I think the key is to plan your day well and get into a routine. Start with your daily chores for small moments of success like doing the dishes and making your bed. Finally take time out for new hobbies - read a book, or learn something new in an online class. And spend time with your family and friends. If you can’t do it in person, call them up!

2. Time for Self Reflection

Evelyn Sharma: I think it’s also an opportunity to reassess your life. Have you really been doing what you’re most passionate about? Are you truly living your purpose? It’s time to hit the reset button and start over!

3. Give time to your Long Lost Hobbies

Evelyn Sharma: I really enjoy gardening a lot. Now that I’m back in Australia, I spend most of my time studying permaculture and how I could make the most out of our garden to turn it into an edible food forest!

4. Make Your Bucket List

Evelyn Sharma: Don’t be lazy! This is the time to reflect on yourself and find your hidden talents. Try something new everyday, it will keep you occupied in these times of distress. What’s your bucket list for staying at home? Write a list and knock one off every day!

5. Try Homemade Skincare Packs

Evelyn Sharma: Drink lots of water and moisturise from time to time. Now that we all are at home, this is the best time to try out all the old organic homemade packs. If you have aloe vera plants, cut off the peel and make little cubes to keep in your fridge. It’s amazing for your under eyes and skin!

6. Utilise this Time to Plan Your Dream Wedding

Evelyn Sharma: Yes, we must take care of the people we love the most! There is no point in having a big get-together right now. In most places, these gatherings will not even be allowed. So we’re taking this time to carve out our dream wedding further! When all of this over and we are safe again, we’ll surely have a big party.

7. Netflix & Cheer Up!

Evelyn Sharma: I am hooked to "Next in Fashion" on Netflix. LOVE this show and strongly recommend it to Fashion Lovers.

8. Do Little Thoughtful Things

Evelyn Sharma: If you are planning a wedding some time in the end of this year, use the free time you have right now to go through your closet, and pack up all the clothes that you won't be needing anymore. Wash, fold, and pack in a box (please wear gloves) and schedule a pick-up with our SFD Truck! We will pick up everything as soon as the situation allows and distribute your beautiful items to people in need. You can find more info on www.SeamsForDreams.com and our Social Media.

9. Refrain from Going Out

Evelyn Sharma: Please stay at home and refrain from going outside. Do not hoard groceries. Work towards improving your immunity and most importantly, have a positive attitude. It will help us all to get through these times of distress. Take care of each other. Practice the principles of Consideration, Respect, and Honesty.
