The third day of ICW 2021 was brimming with real dreams, the ethos of timeless nature, roots of royal heritage, and some new beginnings. The ace designers Pankaj & Nidhi, Dolly J, and Amit Aggarwal showcased their exemplary designs surreally. It was enticing to see how the third day demonstrated vivid glimpses of sheer luminance, roots of Indian traditions, the journey of transformation, and spiritual change of hearts. The viewers were awestruck to witness a spectacular show. From the molten gowns that seemed to almost move with the body's movement to the generous shedding of sequins, crystals, beads on their collection- the evening was full of mesmerizing stories. Afterglow symbolizes a new beginning with a yearning for a dazzling future and stellar craftsmanship to create timeless pieces and radiating an effervescent beauty. This collection is in sync with the fresh and crisp sensibilities.

As the ICW 2021 show unfurled, we saw a collection curated with exceptional techniques such as origami folding, handcrafted appliques, and latticework in new-age material with an iridescent sheen. The power couple showcased the statement pieces such as trailing jackets, capes, flowing skirts with new blouses in an array of metallic hues such as chromatic gold, pearl pinks, dove greys, and ruby reds - inspired by the Afterglow of a  sunset lingering on the horizon.

With enticing silhouettes and the luster of unique handmade embellishments, the Afterglow collection seeks to transgress the boundaries of craft. The collection respects cultural identities and values authenticity. Further,  the power couple brought forth a promising show.

They showcased a candescent collection for celebrating special occasions and destination weddings - where the bride is CenterStage - promising to leave her guests and loved ones bathed forever in her radiant Afterglow. Pankaj & Nidhi opined before the unveiling, "We are very excited to launch our collection. Afterglow at India Couture Week 2021". Speaking of the fashion film, they further said," The collection incorporates our signature techniques in newer silhouettes and colors.

Designer Dolly J unveils AH-LAM Couture 2021

Dolly J

Yet another round of glitz and glam was by the celebrated Dolly J on the second day of ICW 2021. The collection is inspired by the people who have the strength to defy a set pattern and carve their own journey. The caption – “Impossible is just an opinion Dream On.- Paulo Coelho" at the beginning of the show exhibits a lot about the collection by Dolly J.

The collection identifies with the strong roots of Indian heritage and culture. The designer has showcased the ethos by frequent sequins, crystals, beads, and other stones on net and organza in her collection. This collection encompasses a palette with a mix of pastels and jewel tones with intricate silver and gold threads handwork.

Further, Liquid silver fabric has been specially woven for this collection with simple silhouettes and crystal-encrusted belts. The red bridal lehenga with a long veil is the flavor of this season. Her work is a beautiful effort to celebrate individuality in a beautifully transient world.

From the beginning, the collection beautifully celebrates individuality, where the models running in white flowy dress to the transition they encounter. We were spellbound with the entire theme here, and we are sure you all must be smitten with the beauties here.

The third show by the veteran couturier Amit Aggarwal was an ode to the three elements that form the center of our existence and help nurture us, give us the freedom to mold ourselves to be authentically us, and carry us forward, Earth, Water, and Air inspire the genesis of Metanoia.

Through narrative storytelling, Amit Aggarwal took the viewers on a personal journey of what it means to resurge and refine yourself. The background narration perfectly matched his collection, which has meticulously embellished lehengas, sarees, capes, and gowns. Featuring 35 unique styles and silhouettes in colors ranging from moss, green, roseate, azalea, lisianthus, taffy, mulberry fuchsia, eggplant, and indigo - Amit took his fashion film ahead of the curve.

This elaborate collection brings emotions to garments using intricate materials like glass fiber, raffia palm, optic fiber to spin architectural structures into the fluid ensembles. The collection highlights the use of the brand's signature metallic polymers, which have been used for intricate pleating, 3-D hands embroidered thread work, and metallic cording in detailed silhouettes, which are structures yet fluid.

All three designers lured us as they showcased their collection through strong storytelling elements. Each of the designers had something gripping and fascinating tale to present. They have put together a breathtaking collection through some dreamy and not-so-dreamy sagas - which celebrates the realness in every woman.
