In the wake of COVID-19, millions of people across the world are practising social-distancing and following government’s orders to stay-at-home and social gatherings like weddings are unquestionably off the charts. With the increasing number of state-lockdown and isolation orders, 2020 spring/summer weddings are officially being postponed due to the red flags or are put on hold by not just couples but even celebrities.

Postponing a wedding and letting everyone know has never been easy but when it’s the family’s & community’s health that’s at stake, taking these harsh decisions doesn’t take much of a thought. Of course, it’s a devastating feeling but is worth the lives of the people who are dealing with the situation on the frontline–like doctors, nurses, sanitation staff and security personals.

It’s true that when celebrities plan to get married, it’s not just their families who celebrate their union and are excited about it, it’s their complete fanbase who ticks off the wedding date on their calendars and wait for D-day. But unfortunately, nobody is immune to the life-threatening pandemic of coronavirus and steering clear of any activities that might prove to be accelerating the disease is the wisest thing to do.

So, here’s a list of all Bollywood & Hollywood celebs who temporarily put their wedding plans on the back burner and are more likely to tie the knot next year:

After confirming their engagement during the end of February, Fukrey-starrers, Ali Fazal & Richa Chadha had chalked out their wedding for the month of April. Many guests were expected to fly from the United States & Europe to grace the couple’s wedding with much pomp and show.

According to Economic Times, Richa & Ali’s spokesperson revealed, "Given the current scenario and the unfortunate turn of events owing to the COVID-19 pandemic globally, Ali and Richa have decided to postpone their wedding functions to the latter half of 2020 tentatively. They wish for everyone to be healthy and safe and at no cost would want their friends, families and well-wishers to be affected.”

Despite not announcing anything officially, wedding rumour mills for the happening couple of B-town, Varun Dhawan & Natasha Poonawala never quite winded down. While we were still unsure about the couple tying the knot, they’re back in the headlines that claim that Varun & Natasha are in talks to reshuffle their wedding dates to November 2020.

According to the sources information, Mid-day reveals, "The initial plan was to have an intimate wedding on a private island in Thailand, but it was scrapped last month in favour of a destination wedding in Jodhpur. Eventually, they called that off too and were considering having a low-key ceremony in Mumbai. But looking at the current scenario, they have decided to tentatively push the Shaadi to November and have reverted to their original choice of destination, Thailand.”

If sources are to be believed, we cannot quite wait to see the hunk of Bollywood, Varun and philanthropist, Natasha come together into the beautiful union of marriage.

Honestly, I don’t know what’s going to happen now as far as dates or anything like that. We’re just kind of in a holding pattern like the rest of the world. Again, it’s something we’re just going to have to wait and see in a few months how this all pans out."
