We hired Team Maple for our wedding at Chomu Palace after nearly 8 months of planning and detailed discussions. Unfortunately, the overall experience was deeply disappointing and fell far below what was promised.

The core issue was a consistent pattern of over-promising and under-delivering. The onwer, Ajit repeatedly assured us that everything would be handled, that nothing would go out without approval, and that the final outcome would exceed references. In reality, execution across decor, vendor coordination, hospitality, and logistics was weak, poorly supervised, and lacked ownership.

Some key concerns:
• Decor was visibly diluted. Fresh flower commitments were not honoured, approved colour palettes were altered, and several agreed elements were either removed or substituted without consultation. Many setups felt like box-ticking rather than curated experiences.

• Vendor coordination was largely handled by the family despite paying for full coordination. Vendors reported unresponsiveness days before the wedding, and in multiple instances contacted the bride directly for basic operational matters.

• Hospitality and RSVP management was chaotic. Guest communication errors, delayed room hampers, incorrect information shared (ex: service timings), and understaffed shadow support created unnecessary stress for guests and family.

• Transportation commitments did not match delivery (vehicles promised vs vehicles provided).

• Stationery, despite significant cost, had quality errors and was delivered late and in fragments.

What was most upsetting was that our families — who should have been celebrating — were waking up early after late nights to supervise decor and salvage execution. That should never happen when you hire a professional planner.

Equally concerning was the lack of accountability. When errors were pointed out, they were often debated rather than acknowledged. Trust eroded because repeated assurances were not matched by action.

Post-wedding conduct further reinforced this concern:
• A feedback message was sent to our guests without our permission. Communicating with our guest list without consent is not acceptable.
• Even something as basic as returning leftover magnet souvenirs from one of our interactive stalls has not been handled responsibly. Guests had taken photos and created personalised magnets as keepsakes, which the stall owners handed over to Team Maple after the event so they could be returned to us. However, these items now appear to be lost, and despite multiple follow-ups, there has been no accountability and very little response. It’s frustrating that even something this simple — memories created by our guests — could not be managed properly.

Weddings are high-emotion, high-investment events. More than perfection, what matters is ownership, transparency, and reliability. Unfortunately, our experience lacked all three.
