For our wedding we conducted the Sangeeth, Haldi, Mehendi, Muhurtham and the Reception at the venue. I wanted to give a more detailed review of each space for other Brides as a Bride myself!

Villas:
My husbands family and my family stayed at the Villas for all the events. The hospitality, decor, space and cleanliness was incredible with the Bride and Groom suite being the highlight. the space was enough for bridesmaids, a complete makeup team and photographers.
PS - the rooms have amazing murals of peacocks that give the perfect backdrop for pictures!

5 celebration spaces plus a temple!
We had our Muhurtham on a floating mandap. A fairytale wedding day straight out of a Bollywood movie. Our events were spread across each of the celebration spaces, each space transforming into a different venue!

Having a temple at the venue was huge plus! A huge concern with other venues we visited was that it didn't have a temple at the venue since our rituals required us to have one. I was amazed that a temple was was present at the venue connecting to the main mandap.

As an NRI couple, Having an in house Wedding Planner made it all the more easier. She was extremely knowledgeable in every ritual, proposed multiple iterations of the final event flow, video called us constantly to ensure that we had a say at our decor. She was very patient and kind and always had options for us to choose from. We had a couple of our friends from abroad coming to the wedding and she helped us manage their stay and transportation. Her recommendations for food and decor were the best of the best. Most importantly, she not only took into consideration all my requests but included the entire family in the planning. Really made the process very seamless. She was able to transform each space into something beautiful each time.

The venue is a hidden gem surrounded by beautiful greenery. We felt like we were transported into Jaipur palace within Bali. Away from the concrete jungle of Bangalore and one with nature - a destination wedding venue for sure. Not mention the connectivity between the celebration spaces with each other, a simple walk through a garden like pathway leads you to another beautiful space, the detail in every corner of the space really allows for various photo opportunities like no other.
A dream come true wedding with a dream come true venue!

One of the best things about Bougainvilla is their in-house planner. Didn’t expect that level of help, but they really showed us how the whole wedding would flow. It’s like a 1-stop shop, it made everything so easy. My nephew’s getting married there this year and we’re all so excited!!!

Nightmare Venue That Made the Bride & Groom Cry

We booked Bougainvilla to have a memorable wedding, but behind the scenes, it became a nightmare. The venue is visually stunning, but the management—especially the owner, Lakshmi—is rude, unprofessional, and only concerned with money
As a groom, I want to warn future couples: don’t fall into this trap. This lady lacks empathy and will go to any extent to ruin your special day if you don’t comply with her unreasonable terms.

Here’s what to beware of before booking:
1. Undisclosed Terms: Once you pay the advance, they’ll bombard you with dozens of hidden conditions.
• A 10% security deposit of the booking amount is mandatory.
• Rs. 50,000 penalties for absurd things: petals or flowers in the pool, guests entering the mandap, waste management, etc. It feels like penalty income is their real business.
2. Aggressive Payment Terms: You’re forced to pay 100% of the amount 2–3 months in advance, leaving no room for negotiation later.
3. In-house Vendor Pressure: They’ll quote double the market rate for decor (e.g., Rs. 10 lakh for decor worth Rs. 5 lakh). If you refuse, they begin creating hurdles 15–20 days before the event.
4. Outside Vendor Penalties: Want your own decorator? Pay Rs. 50,000 extra. If you arrange your own platform, they’ll say “not allowed” last-minute—even after collecting security.
5. Hidden Charges & Random Pricing: After we booked, we discovered others paid 15–20% less. There’s no standard pricing—just exploitation based on how much they can extract from you.
6. Platform Scam: We were forced to pay Rs. 39,000 for a platform our decorator could have arranged for Rs. 10–12k. Even after agreeing, she revoked permission a day before the wedding.
7. Zero Support at Venue:
• No housekeeping
• No logistics
• No coordination help
• No chairs (we were promised 100, but didn’t get them)
8. Power Cuts: Both main events were delayed 2–3 hours due to frequent outages. The generator backup failed, and guests had to manage without staff help.
9. DJ Night Cancelled: Initially, she allowed DJ till 11 PM (at low volume). Then suddenly banned it after 10 PM, ruining one of our key functions.
10. Water Shortage: Guests had no water—especially inconvenient for those catching early flights.
11. Security Issues: Their security guard stole our belongings. Zero accountability.
12. Abusive Behavior: Lakshmi and her team were rude, disrespectful, and verbally abusive to us and our vendors. She constantly repeated “my property, my property” like a threat.

Final Warning: If you don’t use her expensive in-house vendors, she’ll deliberately create obstacles. She’s built a toxic ecosystem designed to squeeze money out of couples during their most vulnerable moments.

The venue has potential, but in the hands of this management, it turns into a disaster. If you still choose to book here, document EVERYTHING, get terms in writing, and prepare for an emotionally exhausting ride.

We cried during what should’ve been the happiest days of our lives—not because of emotion, but because of how badly we were treated.

Think twice before booking Bougainvilla.

My grandmom got emotional seeing the temple. She said this was the first wedding where traditions and modern vibes went hand in hand so beautifully. Bougainvilla rocks!

Being the mother of the groom, I was looking for a unique place that would make my son’s wedding as magical as it could be, and Bougainvilla absolutely exceeded our expectations. When I booked I was concerned about the distance and wondered if all
Guests would come.. but to my pleasant surprise not only the guests came with their entire family but they were also present on time. The floating mandap was a dream come true—I was also so happy that the temple was there—having that divine touch meant so much to me.

Can’t believe how Sumeera looked during the day vs. the evening! Morning haldi felt like something out of Jaipur, and by evening, the vibe turned electric for the reception. Amazing!
