Completly my wife's choice. I later came to know that she is one of the best in the country

I reached out to Kajol for my destination wedding. However I was expecting that she would be doing the makeup but since the wedding was outside Mumbai her assistant told me that she doesn't travel outside Mumbai and her makeup assistants would be doing the makeup. However she mentioned that Kajol would be creating the make up and hairstyle looks. (Please note for assistants the charges are less)
Generally all the makeup artist do call you for a trail before the wedding, but she did not offer me trial. However I called her up and asked whether we need to do a trial, she then asked me to visit her at her office in Ghatkopar. Upon arrival I was surprised that she wasn't around and it was just her assistants there. The assistants did do just some basic eye-makeup hardly spending 10-15 mins. Since I have scanty hair I had mentioned to her 2-3 times that I need a hair trial at-least, but her assistants said that they will take care of the hair on the wedding day with hair products like Topik etc. I was really skeptical at that point whether I should go ahead with this or should I find myself another makeup artist. I really liked her instagram pictures and was really impressed with it, so I just went ahead with it not trusting my instinct.
On the wedding day She sent her hair stylist and makeup artist. As expected hair artist did not carry any hair products like Topik etc. and neither did they carry the makeup light stand which usually every makeup artist carries with them. They has to cover scanty hai patched with eye shadow. It was very disappointing ever after paying so much if you don't get what you want. I only got to see my looks on my wedding day. Of the 3 looks I liked the weeding look the most.

I wish had she told me of all these things earlier I would have considered some other artist.

In this entire episode I spoke to Kajol only once for 5-10 mins, it was always her assistants on the call. Overall I felt it was a very unpleasant & unprofessional experience
