Awful experience - do not waste your time or money

We are writing this review to warn other couples thinking about using The Wedding Junction (TWJ) for their wedding. We trusted TWJ to plan our destination wedding, but our experience was deeply disappointing from the get-go and we would not recommend their services at all.

The wedding planning process was made extremely difficult and emotionally taxing by a consistent lack of preparedness and organisation. Although TWJ was fully aware of our budget and specific requirements for catering, decor, and venue from the start of the process, they had not done enough research to ensure that the vendors they recommended to us met those requirements. This forced us to waste valuable time meeting with unsuitable vendors, which was a significant inconvenience given we had specifically flown in for these appointments from abroad. As a result of this inadequate planning, we then had to book additional flights and travel for food tastings and further vendor meetings that TWJ had failed to arrange during our first visit.

Throughout the entire process, TWJ were extremely disorganised. Despite repeated assurances that they were on top of things and would have everything sorted in advance of our wedding, this was not the case and we consistently found ourselves chasing their team for updates, reminding them of deadlines, and pushing for progress. In the days leading up to our events, my partner and I (the bride and groom) were up until 2am almost every day sorting things that TWJ had let slip or left to the last minute, or correcting mistakes (e.g. typos on the event signage, incorrect timings in event flows, vendor room allocations (they had allocated 3 days’ accommodation for one of their team members who was only to be around for one day), incorrect messages sent to the wrong guests, and the list goes on...

On the actual event days, despite an 18-person team from TWJ being on-site, there was a noticeable lack of clear leadership and oversight. TWJ team members were often unsure of their roles, exhibited unprofessional behaviour such as eating before guests, and would arrive late or depart early. This meant that our immediate family members had to step in and manage pressing issues themselves. This was deeply embarrassing for us as we were assured by TWJ and in turn assured our family members that everything would run smoothly.

TWJ's financial management was also chaotic. Their spreadsheets showed inconsistent, incomplete, and incorrect costs, and they never provided proper receipts or clear explanations when we spotted discrepancies. In fact, TWJ currently owe us a refund for overpaid services, and despite weeks of providing clear evidence of these overpayments, they have refused to return the funds and are ignoring all messages/emails. We also discovered they provided fraudulent invoices for 6 of their return flights, which we paid for in full, only to later learn that they cancelled these flights to extend their stay in Jaipur for another wedding, presumably also charging that client for inbound flights even though they were already in Jaipur.

TWJ were responsible for our wedding decor but the execution of this was poor. They forgot to deliver certain aspects of our decor presentation, including backdrops for main events and then tried to charge us extra for their last minute additions (e.g. a cloth that was used as a backdrop even though this was not one of our choice). Our decor was being set up in front of guests after our events had started, the mandap was still being set up as the baraat were walking in, and most events were running late. We also noticed the decor team would start packing away items before the events had even ended, and were seen throwing away items we had purchased for the wedding such as bells and wedding favours.

And lastly, they were incredibly unprofessional. While Vidushi and the rest of the team were pleasant to work with and at least apologised when things went wrong, Pujan displayed a nonchalant attitude throughout. He would often show up an hour late to meetings without apology, then be scrolling on his phone, completely ignoring us while Vidushi would be running through the planning. He has on many occasions belittled us by saying our budget was small (when it was not for the number of guests we had), and sent us cost sheets of more expensive weddings he had recently done – however, all reviews on the internet are dated 7+ years ago.

Most disappointing was TWJ’s refusal to acknowledge these problems, instead offering excuses and shifting blame. No wedding is perfect, but with our efforts we still managed to have a beautiful wedding but the scale of issues we faced along the way, and the complete lack of accountability from TWJ made this experience unnecessarily stressful. Don’t make the same mistake we did - save your money and do not waste your time with TWJ.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to make your big decisions easier.
