Since then, the band has developed a vast repertoire by selectively choosing melodies that suit the sensibility of a contemporary setting. Bollyjazz brings a refreshing approach to playing classic Hindi Film tunes through a format of Jazz harmony and rhythms. The arrangements around the melodies are experimented with popular Jazz rhythms such as Samba, Bossa Nova, Swing, Funk etc. that allows musicians to improvise and provide their own expression to a familiar tune. The team of BollyJazz have full commitment towards their work and makes sure that they deliver as promised.

Hello! I am Nikhil Mawkin. A well-known musician from New Delhi. A vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, I started playing music professionally right out of school at the age of 17. Simultaneously, I began studying music with the famous Opera singer Mr Hur Chul Young from Korea and later studied at Berklee College of Music, Boston. I have performed widely in India, the U.S.A, and Mexico and has created many successful projects throughout the 20 years of my career. Performing different genres from Rockabilly and jazz to Latin American and Mexican music is my expertise. Presently Juggling between New Delhi and Mexico, I am pursuing my passion for production and composition while working with one of my most successful projects: Bollyjazz.
