PRATHEEKSHA : UNETHICAL SCAMMER
Here's the whole story.
My wedding was last year. I contacted her 1-2 months earlier and asker for her availability for January 2025, along with a TRIAL prior. She agreed to give me trial (while many other MUAs had clearly said NO openly). few weeks before the wedding, i start messaging her to arrange a trial as she had agreed. and then she starts with her gimmicks - giving me health issues as excuse intially.. then i waited for some days.. after which she came up with another lame reason like 'my house is being renovated so i dont know where to give you make up trial from' . I told her i can arrange a hotel room for it.. but she again gave some lame excuse just to avoid it. To make it happen, i knew i would have to be aggressive or extra assertive with her and i didnt want to do that .. because if it doesnt end well.. i didnt have enough time to look for another MUA. So i just let it go.

I had clearly mentioned it to her that she will have to dress me up for two events on the same day... the church wedding and the reception after that. and she agreed. One day before the wedding, in the last minute when i am running around like a headless chicken with the preparations.. she messages me and says, she might not be able to show up for the second event - the reception. I got angry and said ... in the last minute how on earth can you back out like this?? then she said ok! (but this shows how unprofessional she is and doesnt give shit about her client) .

Finally .. she shows up on the wedding day.. at our hotel room... she had got a hairstylist with her.. and asked him to start with my hairdo. . while she waited sitting idle .. and she asked for a cup of coffee. i couldnt go make one for her as my hair was getting done - my family were busy doing their own things... she could have simply got herself a cup of coffee from the coffee station but she refused to get up from the bed. then i asked my mom to make one for her.. she made it for her. and i noticed that she didnt even drink the coffee!! (no that this is important.. but just shows her manners and etiquettes)

Now, coming to the makeup part - she didnt even bother to match the foundation to my skin tone properly. she clearly chose a shade much lighter to my skin. (I'm just going to leave this point at that.. people who do makeup know exactly what it is like to have this experience of wearing a lighter foundation making you look grey!) . Also, while she was doing the makeup, randomly she asks this question if i want some 'glow look' (i forgot the exact term she used)... and in that moment when we are running out of time to be ready, i didnt know what to say.. i said yes. (cmon who doesnt want glow lol)... only to find out much later on that this thing that she impulsively forced on me was going to be CHARGED EXTRA while she didnt bother to mention about it to me!!) - again, not surprising .. cause by now we know how unethical she is . so!

Coming to the saree draping part - i had taken quote from her including saree draping. which means, i assumed i am paying for PROFESSIONAL SAREE DRAPING SERVICE. she chose to come WITHOUT A DRAPIST(in the beginning she had told she will arrange one)! and she tried to drape the saree for me on her own! She didnt even know how to do it properly because she began to struggle with it.. which was clearly visible.. and in the midst of it.. while i would try to look at the mirror to see how it looks, she would pull me away.. (instead of allowing me to check in the mirror if its coming out well, looking good etc).. so that i dont ask her to do it properly or correct / fix imperfect areas, etc. she did such a LAME JOB!

now you'd think, its over. No its not. So the wedding is done.. the reception is going on and i am on the stage ... where guests after guests are coming and taking photos with us. suddenly i see this woman (pratheeksha , our scammer MUA lol) walking into the wedding hall wearing a tee and a tiny shorts .. asking for THE PAYMENT. my family tried to tell her.. can you wait a bit... we are in the midst of the event happening, lets settle this. she diddnt care.. she insisted she wanted the bride(me) off the stage to discuss her payment RIGHT NOW! .. to all the other wedding guests, it started to look like some random woman coming and making a fuss with the bride. ( thats Pratheeksha's etiquettes for you!) . so i finally get off the stage.. go up to her and ask her for her final charges. because initially when i first contacted her we had only agreed on my own makeup, but later i had asked for makeup for 2 of my family members as well. (for which, she had told her she will give a proper quote.. but did not. ) .......... and suddenly now, she gives me a new figure as her final amount.. which i just couldnt make sense out of how she arrived at that figure. SHE WAS TRYING TO SCAM ME! i was furious! and mind you, shes dragging the bride through all this WHILE THE WEDDING event is going on... and guests are all around.

So i asked her to break down the figure for me - and then she started act unsure! like as if she couldnt exactly tell me for which service how much she alloted and how she arrived at that final figure. when she failed to give me the breakdown... then she herself lowered the rate!!!!

THE MAIN IS - HER OVERALL ATTITUDE WAS BAD (which you would only understand if you were around her) . she had NO INTENTION TO HELP THE BRIDE LOOK AS GOOD AS SHE CAN. AND WANTED TO DO THE BARE MINIMUM AND SCAM HER.

Prateeksha and her team is awesome and their work is way more better than the types of hyped celebrity artist in kochi.
Anyone reading it must try and book her team.
Her Makeup, Hair work and styling is flawless, I believe she is under advertised.

Hi guys if u are looking for a friendly professional make artist i would say its prateeksha Chechi. She did my makeup on my wedding as well as my family members, which was fantastic. She took our suggestions into consideration specially about the Hair styling, Products i use. She stayed until we finished our photo shoot. She is a dedicated friendly women.

Prateeksha and her team took me as a client on very late notice, the venue was at a resort in Allapuzha 2hrs away from Kochi! They did an excellent job on my wedding makeup and hair. I received a lot of compliments from family and friends. I would highly recommend, overall great experience.
