I booked Aliya Baig for both my wedding and reception bridal makeover. I booked 6 months in advance as I wanted to get it done by her itself. I paid 25k for each day, so a total of 50k for two days.
Coming to the wedding day, I reached before my booking time pf 3:30 as I mentioned to them 3+ times that I need to get ready on time as I have all my photoshoots pre booked according to timings. They started after 5+ reminders at 4:45 and that too played around with my hair till 5:20 forcing me to take hair extensions multiple times for which they charge over and above 25k. I denied the extensions as I have long, thick hair plus spending 25k is a huge amount in itself and I did not want to pay more. After the 5th time I was told to get extensions as it’s a once in a lifetime thing, I told them that as they started 1.2 hours late of they can give it as complimentary I’m good with it but I cannot pay anything more, they stopped suggesting it.
Makeup took 1-1.5 hours that day and was absolutely perfect but it was delayed by 1.5 hours inspite of multiple reminders to them, their response was that they were short staffed that day inspite of prebooking 6 months in advance and hence I missed my entry and photoshoot with my husband on my once in a lifetime day and for my reception, they called me the next day and told me that my time has been moved to 5 pm instead of 4 pm, i absolutely refused it because I had booked every single detail 6 months ago and can’t change that 1 day before an event. Then they said to come at 4 itself and I was there by 4:15. My ready time was 7 pm and they played around with my hair till 7:15 inspite of 10 plus reminders that I was getting late. And at 7:15 Aliya Baih started makeup on another bride saying she came their first and I know that it takes an hour at least for her to finish. And I started crying being in this helpless situation after paying 25k, being on time thinking this is the most stressful and helpless situation in my entire life as I had my entry and photoshoots planned according to the time specified. Once they saw me cry, they started on my quickly and the makeup I got that day for 25k was done in 10 mns, with no baking, no proper airbrushing, everything absolutely basic I do by myself any other day. And my hair that they took 2.5 hours to do for basic loose open curls didn’t even last 1 hour. I had asked for a big pouf for my headband which they didn’t do and I didn’t notice until I reached the function hall. 3+ times I told Aliya Baig that I am not at all satisfied with my makeup. It wasn’t bad, but it was extremely basic and nothing like what was done on the other day. I missed my bridal entry and my photographer left from the studio as I was late and had to wait for him to get back and do my photoshoot there and left by 9 when it was supposed to be 7:30. This was the absolute worst and not my problem that you were short staffed or you booked 5 brides in one day. I did not pay a discounted price or anything for my once in a lifetime day for this service. I got coffees after asking for 2+ hrs and sandwich after asking for 1.5 hours and was hungry, late, stressed beyong limits because of them and after paying 25k got the most basic 10 min makeup that she didn’t change a thing of after saying 3+ times that I am not satisfied with it and it looks absolutely basic. You have looted my money for this for what you gave me.
You made me cry on my reception day.
